Idea to Product: Rapid Prototyping with IoT — Hands-On College Workshop
Students build a personalised Desktop Companion Robot. From idea to a working device, start to finish.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL BUILD
WORKSHOP CHALLENGE
Teams are judged on two fronts:
• Design Challenge — the best-looking, most creative Desktop Companion Bot enclosure
• Coding Challenge — successfully programming the ESP32 within a set time limit
Top 3 teams win the Certificate of Excellence, a Delta V flagship course scholarship, and dev-board/electronics-kit goodies.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
BCA / Computer Science / ECE students, Year 2–4 | Students who've completed design thinking or entrepreneurship coursework | Robotics/tech club members
EQUIPMENT & REQUIREMENTS
Provided by Delta V: ESP32, OLED display, DHT11 sensor, capacitive touch sensor, buzzer, RGB LED, breadboard, perfboard, jumper wires, USB cable, power adapter, soldering irons (provided and taken back), each team's custom 3D-printed enclosure.
Required from college: Projector, team seating/tables, power strips, adequate ventilation for soldering.
Laptop: Each team needs at least one laptop with Arduino IDE pre-installed (instructions sent in advance).

RECOGNITION & REWARDS
Every student who completes the workshop receives a Certificate of Completion.
Each workshop closes with a team competition, judged on tasks specific to that workshop (see "Workshop Challenge" above). The top 3 teams receive:
- A Certificate of Excellence
- A scholarship toward a Delta V flagship course
- Development boards and electronics kits from Delta V's own product line
